Bharatpur- A Bird City


Bharatpur, considered as Eastern passage to Rડsth஬ was founded by maharaja Suraj Mal in the ADVERTISEMENT 1733. It is an enriched city and played a big role by grinding the history of Rડsthம The city and the fort would be founded by Jat called Rustam. The important fish species which are found in this sanctuary include Notopterus, Danio d' Oxygaster, Chela, Labeo, Catla, Cirrhinus, Puntius, Botia, Mystus, Ompok, Wallago, Clarias, and Channa. One can visit the park during monsoon and the winter. Monsoons are the season of breeding for the local resident and migratory birds while in winters a great number of migratory birds come Europe and of Central Asia.
